Paris Saint-Germain has gained the upper hand in their Champions League quarterfinal match against Barcelona. Thanks to goals from Kylian Mbappé and Vitinha, the French champions secured a 2-1 victory in the second leg at Camp Nou, giving them a crucial advantage ahead of the return leg.
Mbappé converted a penalty in the 32nd minute to put PSG in the lead. Barcelona equalized through Ousmane Dembélé in the 50th minute, but Vitinha restored PSG's lead just four minutes later. The 22-year-old Portuguese midfielder received a pass from Lionel Messi and fired home a stunning right-footed shot from the edge of the penalty area.
PSG's victory extends their unbeaten streak to 13 matches in all competitions. Barcelona, on the other hand, has now lost two consecutive matches and faces an uphill battle to qualify for the semifinals.
